Brief Introduction
CCF Distinguished Member, Visiting Faculty at Microsoft Research Asia, and Visiting Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University. His primary research interests include virtualization and cloud computing, program analysis, and software/hardware co-optimization. His representative works include GPU/FPGA virtualization, the innovative "multi-to-one" GiantVM, and RISC-V co-design. He has published translations such as Advanced Programming in the UNIX Environment (2nd Edition), which ranked in the Top 50 Bestsellers of 2008 and 2009 (China-Pub), and the book BlewBluePill: In-Depth Understanding of Hardware Virtualization (supported by the IBM Publishing Grant). He also translated Advanced Programming in the UNIX Environment (3rd Edition), which was listed in the Top 100 Computer and Internet Books of 2014/2015 on JD.com. His works System Virtualization: Principles and Practice (awarded the 2021 Ministry of Education-Huawei Intelligent Base Outstanding Contribution Award) and Data Center Virtualization: Principles and Practice (co-published with Huawei) further highlight his contributions to the field.
